Job Description
Senior Accountant
Description of duties:
- Prepare and review federal, state and local tax, including corporation, partnership and individual income tax, sales tax and property tax returns;
- Audit, review and compile financial statement engagements;
- Research complicated tax issues and prepare tax projections for clients;
- Develop and implement accounting solutions by analyzing clients' current procedures and recommending changes;
- Answer accounting, financial and tax questions by researching and interpreting data;
- Keep current on all accounting and auditing updates, as well as tax legislation, and review changes in tax laws with clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Accounting or related plus 18 months working experience with CPA firm. The candidate must
- be proficient with Lacerte Tax Software, Quickbooks®
- have ability to perform tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs;
- have ability to prepare sales tax and payroll tax returns;
- have participated in at least 5 audits;
- have ability to do tax research;
