About the job

We are seeking an experienced CFO Services Supervisor in Irvine. This individual will be responsible for working alongside the Director of CFO Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality work product and the management of client relationships. In this position, a successful candidate will be responsible for having advanced technical skills in a variety of accounting areas, along with strong supervisory skills. The client service aspect of this role will focus on outsourced accounting.

Responsibilities
 
  • Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, consulting and compliance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in advanced technical and research skills, necessary for advising clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage client engagements through the entire life-cycle: planning, executing, directing, managing the budget and communicating with the manager and partner group.
  • Develop effective and proactive relationships with clients to provide superior client service.
  • Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon the technical knowledge gained relative to the client's operations and business objectives.
  • Performs all tasks related to client services within budgeted time.
  • Coordinate accounting activities with other departments.
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards.
  • Mentor and train accounting staff and seniors through guidance and coaching.
     

Knowledge And Skill Requirements
 
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement and QuickBooks.
     

Education And Work Experience
 
  • CPA Certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or similar course work) required.
  • Minimum of two years of managerial or direct supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of five years of qualified work experience based in public accounting, preferred
